Terms of Service

Effective June 30, 2026

Template notice. These terms are a starting point and have not been reviewed by legal counsel. Have a lawyer review and adapt them — including the bracketed placeholders and governing-law section — before relying on them in production.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Sport-Synq (“we,” “us”) governing your use of the Sport-Synq website and application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sport-Synq provides tools for youth-sports coaches to record structured player evaluations and share season reports with parents. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create a coach account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Your data and player information

You retain ownership of the content you enter, including rosters, evaluations, and notes (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service. You represent that you have the authority and any required consents to enter player information — including, where applicable, parental or guardian consent for a child’s information — and that Your Content does not violate any law or third-party rights. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Parent access

Coaches may share a team code and per-player PINs so parents can view a specific child’s report without an account. You are responsible for distributing codes and PINs appropriately. Each parent may access only the player whose PIN they hold.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment provider. Plan limits (such as the number of teams) apply as described at sign-up.
  • Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price.
  • You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the Service remains available until then.
  • If a subscription lapses, your data becomes read-only for a period and is then archived, so you can resubscribe and restore access within that window.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Parent access is free.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.
  • Upload information you are not authorized to share, or access data belonging to teams or players that are not yours.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our permission.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Sport-Synq and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the limited right to use it as permitted here.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Evaluations reflect coaches’ own subjective assessments; we do not warrant any particular outcome from using the Service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sport-Synq will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Montreal, Quebec, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
